Johnathan Vega a Bronx New Yorker, started developing an interest in music early in life. At age 12 he joined his middle school orchestra as a violinist. In high school he became the first chair of the second violin section. He also joined the school's marching band. By the end of his junior year, he had fallen in love with playing bass guitar and would persue that instrument with passion.

Johnathan would go on to join several groups playing in different styles and genres of music in the insuing years expanding his range and cultivating his influences. In 2010, he met Billy Garcia and joined Forsakken and performed his first gig with the band in Virginia. Johnathan Vega's dedicated approach and strong rhythm musicianship are the guts of Forsakken's Sinister New Wave of Traditional Metal(NWOTM) Sound.
