Jackie Smith joined the local Metal scene in 2003 upon moving to NYC to pursue a Master’s degree in Social Work at Columbia University. Since then, she has been the vocalist for 3 different projects, including Forsakken in 2004.

After leaving the band to complete her degree, she began working as a psychiatric social worker first in the Bronx for a non-profit agency, and now at New York Presbyterian Hospital. Though her work with the severely mentally ill is what sustains her in her daily life, her love of music is what sustains her soul.

In pursuit of her passion for music, she has worked with PJ Berlinghof, vocalist for Twilight Odyssey, to further hone her vocal skills these last two years. In her most recent project, she wrote, recorded, and performed in the genre of pure thrash metal, and gained further experience as a heavy metal vocalist.

Throughout this time, she remained in touch with FORSAKKEN's Guitarist/Founder/Mastermaind BillyGarcia, and has now been invited back to record the album Warn All Ye Sinners with the band. Jackie Smith's Hellacious blend of Thrash and Extreme Metal Vocals is the aggressive steel assault of FORSAKKEN's Power/Thrash Metal sound!
