Darryl Olthoff, a Queens New York native is a certified audio engineer out of the Institute Of Audio Reasearch. He started his playing career as a vocalist and guitarist with the band GOLDEN OMEN in 1992. Upon his departure Darryl spread his musical wings and played various instruments in several musical projects over the years. Along the way he also worked in post production for independent films.

Darryl would also go on to work at Astoria Soundworks Studio where he met Forsakken axe man/mastermind Billy Garcia. The two quickly became friends and upon hearing a few songs Darryl saw Forsakken's potential. He started out as Forsakken's engineer on the recording of their debut album. Then he got more involved and shared Producing duities with Billy Garcia. By the time the album recording was at the mid point, Darryl had stepped in as Forsakken's Bassist.

Darryl Olthoff's educated approach and his Thrash and Power Metal influenced aggressive musicianship are the guts of Forsakken's Sinister New Wave of Traditional Metal(NWOTM) Sound.
