Charlie was born in Brooklyn, NY and was raised in Queens. In high school, he was introduced to the album "Master of Puppets" and his life changed forever.

Charlie played drums in Empire, a thrash band from Central PA. Aside from thrash metal, he is interested in doom metal and NWOBHM and NWOBHM influenced bands. His favorite drummers include Nicko McBrain (Iron Maiden), Trivett Wingo (ex-The Sword), and Brad Roberts (Gwar).

Charlie Raffaniello is the double bass backbone of Forsakken's New Wave of Traditional Heavy Metal (NWOTHM) sound.
